Our Story

The platform was built deliberately.

The Keyport Group was founded in 2025 by Chris Porter — not as a brokerage that happens to invest, but as an operating company that uses brokerage to generate deal flow, relationships, and market intelligence across commercial and multifamily real estate.

Most real estate firms advise from the sidelines. Every recommendation we make is backed by our own capital in the same markets and the same asset class. That operator-first philosophy is not a marketing position — it is the reason our underwriting is more accurate, our valuations are more honest, and our clients get better outcomes.

The platform spans four verticals — Keyport Realty, Keyport Properties, Keyport Construction, and Keyport Capital — each designed to reinforce the others and produce outcomes that no single-discipline firm can match.

Chris Porter is the founder and chief architect of The Keyport Group. He holds a B.S. in Construction Management, an MBA, and is pursuing his MRED and CCIM designation through Auburn University. A former active duty USMC Logistics Officer and current Marine Corps Reserve Major, Chris scaled his personal portfolio to $7.6M in AUM from 2022–2025 — beginning with owner-occupied single-family homes before moving into small multifamily and larger commercial assets. He leads the Chattanooga, TN market and oversees platform strategy, capital structure, and investor relations across all four Keyport verticals.

Keenan Fitzpatrick brings over 10 years of commercial real estate sales experience in the Anchorage market. A local investor and operator since 2014, Keenan leads Keyport Realty’s Alaska operations with deep market relationships and a firsthand understanding of the Anchorage investment landscape. He is licensed under Real Broker Alaska and manages a personal portfolio of approximately $4.8M in AUM across the Anchorage market.

Chris Kuebler co-founded Keyport Construction and serves as its Chief Operating Officer. With over 12 years of commercial general contracting experience, Chris leads day-to-day construction operations across Tennessee and the Southeast US. His background spans ground-up construction, retrofit projects, and tenant improvements. He holds the GC license that underpins Keyport Construction’s operations and brings the field expertise required to execute at an institutional standard.
